so here's a shot of the sweater from Knit and Tonic. I *love* knitting these because you can try it on at any point. if you are off by a stitch, it doesn't matter because you're not going to have to match up any seams when you're done. I think she got the idea from the 'Knitting from the Top' book that I was talking about. really quite genius. when i finish these projects, i think i'm going to revisit the split-neck sweater using the Knitting from the Top method. i only have to knit the neckline and then work on the stupid collar and *hopefully* when i get it right, the rest of the sweater would be a piece of cake.

also, i'm knitting a hat for a friend.

that's pretty much it. i'm gearing up for my 'a stitch a day' thing. i've done a little test swatching from different parts of the book. i think most of the days, it will take up about an hour, and for the complicated days it coculd take about 2 hours. 2 hours a day isn't that hard, right? well i guess we'll see.
